Ballymaloe House Hotel is a luxurious Irish country house hotel in East Cork. A family-owned, retreat with a long-standing sustainable farm-to-fork experience, nestled within 300 acres of farmland.

A historic family home has evolved into a luxury country house hotel by maintaining the charm and character of the original house, combined with contemporary comforts. The relaxing pace surrounded by vibrant countryside and authentic Irish hospitality creates a genuine respite from a busy urban life.

The house includes 32 bedrooms and seven dining rooms including the original Yeats Room. Menus are created with farm-to-fork principles, using seasonal produce from the walled garden, the farm, and various local producers, creating a culinary delight concluding with Dessert Trolley.

Our guests can enjoy various seasonal activities such as walking trails on the grounds, visiting the walled garden and the farm, or taking part in daily guided tours.

Ballymaloe House Hotel was established in 1964 by Myrtle and Ivan Allen and built on a philosophy of farm-to-fork principles. The use of the farm produce, and choosing the finest, freshest ingredients resulted in consistent culinary excellence. These together with her unwavering commitment to sustainability, are still the core values at Ballymaloe House Hotel today.
