WILLIS Corroon Group, the international insurance broker, said it had ruled out a merger with one of the other five leading global brokers.

The group, which yesterday reported 6 per cent growth in its interim profits in line with City expectations, said it announce a reorganisation of its structure later this year.

Chairman, Mr John Reeve said he was aware of speculation over the benefits of mergers between the big six globe insurance brokers.
