Dragon Gavin Duffy's blog
DRAGONS’ DEN is back and Dragon Gavin Duffy is now blogging about his experiences on the show. Not quite embracing social media, Duffy will be blogging according to a strict schedule – Monday mornings and Thursday evenings after the show. Despite that, it’s a nice add-on to the television show and gives an insight into how the investors make their decisions. Now we know why he invested in toiletpipecover.com.

All about Apple and Google's break-up
FOR A comprehensive, if sometimes irreverent, backgrounder to Apple’s launch of a patent infringement lawsuit against HTC, check out this post from Jesus Diaz on tech blog Gizmodo. The claim that HTC is copying the iPhone is the first public skirmish in the battle between Google and Apple which has been brewing since the launch of the iPhone.

Your own news aggregator
BILLING ITSELF as an online magazine rack, Alltop has for the past couple of years been building collections of news from the top web sources on hundreds of topics, from venture capital to virtualisation, food to finance. It now has a MyAlltop feature that allows you to create a newspage on the themes and sources that interest you. You can get the same effect using RSS feeds but, as the Alltop tutorial points out, with this service you don’t even have to know what an RSS feed is.

Alarm clock that wakes you up gently
SLEEP CYCLE is possibly the most innovative use of the movement-sensitive accelerometer in the iPhone.
Place it on your mattress when going to sleep and it monitors, based on your movements, whether you are in deep sleep, dreaming or awake.
Sleep Cycle then wakes you up to 30 minutes before your alarm time but when you are in the lightest part of your sleep cycle. It is on promotion at 0.79c and is the top paid app on iTunes.
