'Queen of the net' talk on mobile internet
MORGAN STANLEY analyst Mary Meeker was dubbed “queen of the net” back in the dot-com days. Although less high profile these days, she still has a thing or two to say and delivered a thought-provoking presentation on the mobile internet at this week’s Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. Her slide show is now available online.
Although technical (in both the IT and financial sense) in places, it is well worth viewing for anyone who has an interest in this space.

BUY: Judging nerds on their merits
FOR THE techie who has everything, we bring you nerd merit badges. These embroidered velcro-backed badges attach to your jacket, backpack or, as the makers put it, “the lid of your over-clocked, battle-scarred laptop”.
Choose between the Family Tech Support badge (for the family member whom everyone thinks is a free technical resource) or maybe Inbox Zero (for the obsessive compulsives who empty their e-mail inbox every night).
