THE VHI has confirmed that senior executive, Ms Aisling Kennedy will resign from her position of director business development, as reported in yesterday's Irish Times. Ms Kennedy's resignation takes effect from November 30th. The statement said she was resigning "on mutually agreed terms", and added that "there will be no further statement from the board or Ms Kennedy".
Ms Kennedy, who is an actuary, became involved in the controversy between the board and a former managing director, Mr Brian Duncan. Her proposals for the development of the organisation, which were supported by Mr Duncan, were rejected by the then board.
