MR Brendan Fitzgerald has been appointed finance director of Unidare. He succeeds Mr Peter Gray who resigned to join Icon Clinical Research, a pharmaceutical research group, as chief financial officer.

Mr Fitzgerald has been group financial controller of Waterford Foods since 1992. He will be joining Unidare in September when he will be co- opted to the Unidare board.

Mr Paul Duggan, Unidare's chief executive, said the group has been "very pleased" with the applications, numbering over 30, for the position of finance director.
