Ulster Bank has launched its second three-year, fixed-term deposit product. Securezone2 provides 100 per cent capital security at the end of the threeyear term and the possibility of earning a compound annual return of up to 9.13 per cent. The product is linked to the performance of the Euro Stoxx 50 Index which represents the top 50 companies in Europe.
Investments may range from £5,000 (€6,349) to £250,000. Deposits are held for a fixed three-year term with no provision for early withdrawals. At the end of the term, interest is calculated on the basis of the annual Euro Stoxx 50 Index returns over three years subject to a maximum return of 10 per cent gross each year. Even if the overall return is negative, investors will get back all of their initial deposit.
The closing date for investments is April 12th or earlier depending on demand.
