A LEGAL action involving Tyrone Crystal and its former managing director Mr Pat Killen was settled in the High Court in Belfast yesterday.
The details were not revealed and Mr Killen declined to comment afterwards.
He claimed he was owed £150,000 in unpaid salary and bonuses following his sacking last year after months of public controversy. But the company's owners, Dungannon and District Co operative Enterprises Ltd, counter claimed for over £500,000.
The claim was mainly in respect of losses alleged to have been incurred in the USA following the opening of a store in Boston which later closed.
The case, expected to last a month, was due to start yesterday. But after talks between both sides Mr Justice Pringle was told that they had resolved their differences.
"This might have been interesting," commented the judge in making an order staying the action on terms endorsed on counsels' briefs.
