Transware, the Dublin-based localisation company, announced the opening of two sales offices in Britain and the US yesterday as part of an expansion programme.

Localisation involves the adaptation of software products from their original language into multiple other languages. Transware is also increasing its telephone marketing outreach staff at its office north of Boston, which was opened in 1997. Its other US offices are in Silicon Valley and, now, in Houston, Texas.

Its new British office is based in Surrey and is Transware's first entry to that market. The three-year-old company will target software training and multi-media publishers there. Employing over 80 people, Transware had a £2 million turnover last year. It is the sole supplier of localisation services from CBT Systems, the market leaders in the development of interactive courseware for technology training.
