THE Trade Board is to appoint a business development manager in Northern Ireland, the Minister for Trade and Tourism, Mr Kenny, announced yesterday. The move is aimed at increasing support for Irish companies doing business in Northern Ireland.
The new business development manager will be based in Northern Ireland with a primary role of supporting new Irish companies, doing business there for the first time.
The appointment is aimed at helping a minimum of 300 companies to enter the market over the next five years. It is hoped to boost sales in Northern Ireland by indigenous companies by £300 million over the period.
