Three top appointments at Clondalkin Group

The Clondalkin Group has announced three senior management appointments with immediate effect

The Clondalkin Group has announced three senior management appointments with immediate effect. Mr Derek Scally becomes group development director with responsibility for European acquisition and business development. Mr Scally is currently chief executive for Ireland.

Mr Liam Bergin is the new head of Irish operations and will assume responsibility for development of domestic operations. Mr Bergin has been group secretary for more than 10 years with Clondalkin.

Ms Hilary McCowen has become assistant group secretary. She has worked as part of Clondalkin's finance team since 1990.

The Automobile Association has appointed Ms Karen Chew to the position of Roadwatch co-ordinator. She will be in charge of AA's Roadwatch service which provides traffic and travel news for RTE Radio stations, Today FM and independent stations.

Andersen Consulting has appointed Ms Fiona Mullan as human resources manager for its new Dublin-based European Services Centre.

Ms Mullan will be responsible for the immediate recruitment of all finance, procurement and IT support personnel. Prior to joining Andersen, Ms Mullan worked with Kindle Banking Systems.

Mason Hayes & Curran have announced that Mr Declan Black has been appointed as a partner in its commercial litigation department. Mr Black joined the firm in 1990 and was made a senior associate in 1997. The firm currently has 95 staff.

Marketing Initiatives, a new marketing company, has been established in Dublin by Ms Colette O'Malley. The company will offer a broad range of marketing, public relations and event management services to both small and large companies. Ms O'Malley is a member of the Marketing Institute and the Marketing Society.

RESCON, the IT recruitment specialists, has expanded its team with four new appointments. Ms Joette McConville and Mr John Coleman become recruitment specialists, while Ms Susan Pender becomes an administrator with the company and Mr Gerard O'Toole becomes a network administrator.

Mr Pat Faulkner is the new group chief executive of Abhann Productions, the management company for Riverdance.

Mr Faulkner is a chartered accountant and joined Tyrone Productions in 1988.

Mr Paul O'Grady is the new director of group operations at ABN Amro Bank. He replaces, Ms Sandra Banks. Mr O'Grady leaves a position with ICS Building Society.
