A busy week lies ahead for economists as some of the most important indicators so far this year are due to be released. Exchequer figures and live register numbers for the first half of the year are due out, as well as GDP and balance of payments data for the first quarter.

Meanwhile, the ECB meets on Thursday to make its monthly policy announcement, but economists do not expect interest rates to be adjusted.
