Business 2000 will return next Monday. The series will appear every Monday during school terms. It is aimed at those sitting the new subject Business in Leaving Certificate 1999 and at students taking a business module in transition year or Post Leaving Cert courses.
The Irish Times/Business 2000 multi-media pack is aimed at linking business, industry and schools. Every Monday during the school terms until May, a Business 2000 column will appear in the business pages of The Irish Times. It will examine business issues and developments as part of the multi-media package.
The objective: To link in to the new school business curriculum by providing profiles and other pertinent details of leading companies in the multimedia resource pack and by examining current issues in the ever-changing business climate in the Monday column.
The resource: A portfolio of business studies of 39 Irish and multinational companies, including tasks and assignments for students; CD-ROM containing a profile and business study of each company with related project work;
Teacher's Guide;
Curriculum Matrix illustrating how each business study links directly with curriculum topics;
The Irish Times Business News Guide;
Teacher's Questionnaire.
The launch date: Tuesday September 29th.
The pack: A free pack will be sent to every second-level school by the end of September. The pack will contain a portfolio of business studies of 39 Irish and multinational companies, including assignments for students, a CD-ROM, a teacher's guide and questionnaire.

Business & Finance pages of The Irish Times
from next Monday.
