Guinness has been knocked off its spot as the biggest spender on outdoor advertising. Thanks to its flotation, Telecom Eireann was the biggest outdoor advertiser during the April-June period, spending an unprecedented £637,000 (€808,823).
Guinness came in next with £558,000, followed by C&C (£427,000), Showerings, £370,000, Pepsi, £320,000 and Gilbeys, £204,000. The figures yet again show the dominance of drinks companies in the medium.
