Conceptboard, GoToMeeting and Google+ Hangouts
Conceptboard
Sometimes online collaboration can feel like it's stuck in the dark ages. People often resort to emailing back and forth, and Google Docs only goes so far when brainstorming or creative processes are required. Conceptboard is a web app that affords some breathing space to creatives. Screenshots and images can be dragged and dropped, others can add comments and highlight things onscreen while video chatting. You can also create mind maps, mood boards and sketches inside the web app. It works in most browsers and is also available for the iPad.

GoToMeeting
The road warrior doesn't have to bring his or her laptop any more because there are great mobile and tablet apps that can keep them in touch with HQ. Citrix's GoToMeeting app for iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets allows the user to join an online conference or even host one themselves. If your office is hosting its weekly meeting through GoToMeeting you can join in without signing up but if you want to host a meeting you'll need an account. And you can share your presentation from the iPad by swiping through it from Dropbox.

Google+ Hangouts
If you stop thinking about Google+ as a competitor to Facebook and more of a communications tool it starts to make sense. Dispense with the "posting hilarious cat pictures" aspect and dive straight into Google+ Hangouts. This can be used as a simple video chat tool, or you can use it to host a videoconference and even turn it into a public broadcasting platform for your presentation by clicking on "Enable hangouts on air". Aside from video chat you can also collaborate using Google Docs. It's also available as iOS and Android app.
