Street ghosts
VIEW:This street art project is a wonderful idea that makes you think about public spaces and the impact that technologies like Google Maps have on them. If you're wandering about Berlin or London you might come across these "street ghosts". They are ghostly images of people that have been captured by the Google Street Car. Artists have taken these images from Google Maps, printed them out in life-size and pasted them onto the physical space where they were spotted and eternalised in Street View.

More Original Channels
WATCH:Last year Google launched YouTube Original Channels with content coming from professional media companies. This week it has announced that on the back of this it is going global and there will be a new generation of premium content channels coming from France, Germany, the UK and the US. Channels include the BBC, FreemantleMedia (the guys behind American Idol) and Endemol (the company that created Big Brother). Top Gear fans take note: James May is involved in one of the BBC channels.

New light on Stonehenge
READ:English Heritage has just announced that new research supports the theory that the ancient Stonehenge had an important function in observing the winter and summer solstices. Every nook, cranny, notch and scrape on Stonehenge has been analysed using laser 3D scanning technology to reveal details unseen by the human eye. In exposing these details it has been found that stones in certain directions were crafted carefully to allow for a more dramatic passage of sunlight. Fascinating stuff!

Who drinks most coffee?
CONSIDER:Have you ever wondered if your caffeine addiction was fuelled by your job? Well, here's research (commissioned by Dunkin' Donuts and CareerBuilder) indicating that some professions consume more coffee than others. If you're a scientist or lab technician then you've probably got caffeine on an IV drip! Marketing and PR people are next, followed by education administrators. Some added factoids: 46 per cent of workers claim they are less productive without a cup of java to keep them going. And 61 per cent of these coffee fiends drink two or more cups on a daily basis. What happened to the good old cup of tea, eh?
