TUTORIAL:The organisation behind the Firefox web browser has launched a new initiative called Webmaker. This is designed to help educate people about the code behind the web, so they go from being web users to creators. With a suite of tools and a bunch of tutorials provided there will also be a big event called the Summer Code Party, which kicks off on June 23rd. If you're a techie, you can organise and run events in your locality.

LH Collider in the style of Leonardo da Vinci
DRAWINGS:A unique interpretation of Cern's high-energy particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider. This is a series of beautiful drawings sketched in the style of Leonardo da Vinci (below), but they are drawn by research physicist Dr Sergio Cittolin. In place of da Vinci's intricate sketches of dissected body parts, Cittolin has cloven in two the LHC, showing us what lies beneath. There are 22 images in total. Beautiful yet tongue in cheek.

Rbutr
REBUTTAL:It can be very irritating to come across an online article that you know is factually incorrect, or perhaps blatantly biased, because not only you but thousands of others are visiting this site and being misinformed.
Rbutr is a Chrome browser plug-in that allows you to correct this. With Rbutr you can provide a rebuttal to a particular webpage by linking it to an alternative resource. Others using this plug-in will be alerted to web pages flagged in this way. Community votes ensure that rebuttals are not misleading or irrelevant.
