Mosley settles lawsuits against Google over sex party links

Ex-Formula One president Max Mosley has settled lawsuits against Google over the search engine's links to photos of him at a sex party.

"The dispute has been resolved amicably and to the parties' mutual satisfaction," his UK lawyer, Dominic Crossley, said.

He declined to comment on the terms of the settlement. The now defunct News Corp newspaper, The News of the World, published images of Mosley at an orgy with women dressed in military uniforms in 2008.

Mosley, the 75-year-old son of a prominent British Fascist politician, won his breach-of-privacy case against the newspaper and then sued Google in several countries to have the images removed from search results.

Google did not immediately respond to a phone call and e-mail to UK officials. The news was first reported in the German publication Der Spiegel.
