IRISH SMART energy company Endeco Technologies is to create 14 new jobs over the next two years as part of an expansion plan that involves opening a London office.

The technology company recently secured a €1.6 million investment through the Halo Business Angel Partnership to help fund its expansion across Europe.

The investment is the 100th business angel investment facilitated by the partnership, which has overseen €40.3 million in total investment to companies, with €19 million directly from private investors.

Endeco, founded by Michael Phelan, will create the jobs in product development, project management, sales and marketing. The company currently employs 12 people in Dublin and Cork.

“We were pleased that Michael Stanley and his brothers, our original investors, are following their money in this second round along with new investors. These investors understood the clarity of our proposition and business,” said Mr Phelan.

The tech start-up develops and supplies wireless energy/demand management technologies and automation systems to supermarkets, hotels, healthcare, utility and other companies whose energy costs are a significant part of their overheads.
