A company associated with businessman and former Openet executive Declan Conway is being pursued for a judgment for more than €177,000.

In February 2011, the High Court granted a judgment of €177,556.46 against Kinsale Mobile Ltd in favour of Greencube Ltd, a business that had been providing it with various professional services.

Details of the judgment were registered last December and published in a recent issue of Stubbs Gazette. It is understood that the sum has yet to be paid.

Kinsale Mobile is a telecoms-related business with a registered address in Waterford, and Mr Conway is named as a director of the company along with two family members.

The company has not filed returns since 2008 and was listed for strike-off on two separate occasions, in 2008 and 2011, before being restored to the companies’ register.

While company returns show that it had issued 1,000 shares, there are no actual shareholders listed on its register.

Mr Conway, whose current address is in Lagos in Portugal, enjoyed a high profile during the technology boom at the end of the 1990s. He represented Openet at the 2001 Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

His association with the firm, one of Ireland’s most successful indigenous software companies, ended over a decade ago. He has been involved with various businesses since then. His more recent projects include a number of energy-related businesses.
