A COMPANY that has developed software for the management of renewable energy projects is to create 18 jobs in the next two years following a €1 million investment.

Enverian, which was established last year by three former employees of Airtricity, received the investment from AIB Seed Capital Fund, Enterprise Ireland and its own directors.

Enverian’s software is aimed at companies building renewable energy generation facilities and allows them to better manage the project as it is being undertaken.

“Our product allows companies to manage projects, track progress, run financials and give a valuation on the project,” says chief executive Colin Rogan. “These are large capital projects being undertaken and companies like to be able to look at it in terms of their return on investment.”

The company deployed the software with its first client late last year and is currently talking to a number of Irish and US businesses with a view to increasing its customer base.

Rogan adds that Ireland and Britain are targets for the year ahead, as is the United States. The company also plans to make a number of additions to the software over the next 12 months as it continues to develop it for the market.

“We’re getting significant overseas interest so we may need to look at putting people on the ground there, though the majority of our hires will be done here in Ireland,” Rogan says.
