BookBook $69

If you have taken the plunge and bought an iPad, you’ve probably been tempted to splash out on some accessories for it. At the very least, you need a case for the shiny toy to protect it from falls, scratches and other ills. So what better way to protect your shiny new technology than by making it look like a weathered old book?

Tweve South’s BookBook is a hardback leather case that will shield your iPad from the stresses of everyday life. It comes with a hardback cover and spine to give it some cushioning against any impact. A protective inner frame, meanwhile, stops the iPad from getting crushed. It also doubles as an adjustable stand, via some string and a button.

It’s also far easier to get the iPad in and out of the BookBook compared to other protective cases. It may seem a little low tech, but the BookBook has definite old-school appeal.
