Teagasc will expand its food research and development programme resulting from additional funding under the National Development Plan. Last week, the Minister for Agriculture and Food, Mr Walsh, allocated £7.5 million to Teagasc for 2001-03 under the Food Institutional Research Measure, which is funded under the plan.
