Former investment broker Mr Tony Taylor, who is in custody on fraud charges, is to make an application for bail shortly, Dublin District Court heard yesterday.
The 52-year-old former Dublin-based broker has been in custody since he was extradited from Britain five weeks ago. He faces 15 charges of forgery and obtaining funds under false pretences. Judge Terence Finn was told yesterday that a book of evidence was still not ready but would be completed in a couple of weeks. Mr Taylor's solicitor said he wanted to make a bail application and would shortly have independent bailspersons ready.
Judge Finn remanded Mr Taylor in custody for a fortnight and extended time for service of the book of evidence until then.
