THE Irish Table Top Group, which manufacturers handmade glass and ceramic table top gift ware, has won the DHL Exporters' Award. The company beat four other finalists.

Last St Patrick's Day the company broke the records for the, Home Shopping Channel in the US when it sold 2,000 Irish coffee sets in two minutes. The awards were presented by Eddie Jordan, head of the Jordan Formula motor racing team.

The winning group has turnover of over £1 million annually and is forecasting a 20 to 30 per cent increase in sales for 1996.

The runners up included Horse ware Ireland which manufacturers horse blankets and accessories FACT International, which designs training assistance programmes for Eastern European companies Hanna Hats, a clothing firm and Mileeven, a Kilkenny honey firm.
