IF there is money around, we'll find it and sniff it out, is apparently an old saying in Switzerland. That's according to Mr William Baumann, of the Swiss embassy in Ireland, who was addressing guests at the Swiss/Irish Business Association lunch this week.clocks, as well as the idea that it is a very expensive country, are planning to hold a Swiss week in Dublin next year.
Ireland and Switzerland share many things, apparently. This country also enjoys a trade surplus with Switzerland, exporting Pounds 400 million worth of goods to Switzerland last year and importing Pounds 200 million of goods. Much of the surplus can be attributed to multinational Swiss firms located here, according to John French, chairman of the Swiss/Ireland Business Association.
