Ms Tanya Airey becomes the new managing director of the Sunway Travel Group, the Irish travel company which trades as Sunway Holidays.

The new president of the Insurance Institute of Ireland is Mr David Caird, who succeeds Mr William Hannan. Mr Caird is chief executive of Marsh Ireland, formerly J & H Marsh and McLennan.

Mr Freddie O'Neill has become non-executive director of Photopak, the Irish owned distribution company. Mr O'Neill acts as a business and training consultant to several Irish and international companies.

Mr Gerry Earley becomes sales and marketing manager at Clayton Love frozen foods distributors.

Mr Kieran Leonard is the new general manager at Kingram Studios, the design company which offers photography and digital printing services.

He previously worked with advertising firms Des O'Meara, Irish International and O'Connor O'Sullivan.

Baltimore Technologies, the e-commerce and Internet security company, has made Mr Fran Roo- ney chief executive officer for its worldwide business. Mr Rooney replaces Mr Henry Beker who remains chairman of the board of directors. Mr Rooney was formerly chief operating officer of the company.

In addition, Mr Matthew Bowcock, previously executive vice-president of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa, becomes executive vice-president business development.

The recruitment company, Mark Mitchell Sales and Marketing, has appointed Mr Rory Brennan as a senior consultant. Mr Brennan was formally divisional manager with Advantage Sales & Marketing.

The new president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants is Mr Timothy Quinn.

The public relations firm, Text 100, has appointed Ms Joanne Coffey as account director. She has been with the company for six years and previously worked with Text 100 UK.

Smurfit Corrugates Cases has appointed Mr Tom Hayes as regional sales manager for the Munster area. He joined the Jefferson Smurfit Group in 1974 and worked with the distribution division in the Munster area until 1989 when he joined Smurfit Corrugated Cases.
