THERE are now more than 500,000 journeys made on the Dublin-Sligo rail line, an increase of 40 per cent since 1991, the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, Mr Dukes, said yesterday. He said the line's punctuality, measured at 94 per cent, was encouraging users. The Government, with the European Union's cohesion fund, is spending over £23 million upgrading the route, Mr Dukes added.
