Mr David Simpson, co-founder of chartered accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO Simpson Xavier, will retire from the firm at the end of May.

Mr Simpson, who will continue to work with BDO Simpson Xavier as a consultant, said he made the decision to achieve a better balance between his personal and business interests. He was elected president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland last May.
