Siemens said last night it had signed the largest single contract to date in Ireland for a mobile phone model. The company said Esat Digifone had paid £10 million (€12.7 million) to introduce the new C25 phone in the Republic. The company described the phone as small and light, competitively priced, and rich in features. It is to be marketed primarily at brand-conscious Irish consumers aged 16 to 34, Siemens said.
