The Small Firms Association has called on the Government to introduce a 12.5 per cent rate of corporation tax for small business in the 1998 budget. The SFA chairman, Mr Kieran Crowley, said any reduction in corporation tax before the standard 12.5 per cent rate is introduced in 2003 would be the most effective way of helping small companies to advance and develop. Mr Crowley claims its proposal would cost £50 million to implement.
