RazorPit, €20
It works on the idea that those razor blades you are throwing away after a few uses aren’t actually blunt, they’re simply dulled by a build up of soap, oil and other stuff, making them less effective. Take that away and you might get a few more uses out of them – say 10 times more? With the RazorPit, you wipe the blade across its surface a few times, and it will remove the crud, leaving you with a blade that won’t tear your face to shreds.
And since you now get longer out of your blades, you’re also saving money, meaning the RazorPit would pay for itself after only a few weeks.

HP 7510 eAll in One, €159
Printers generally don’t inspire a lot of excitement. It’s not a reflection on their ability, it’s just a simple fact of life. People don’t extol the virtues of their favourite inkjet. But some are still miles better than others. The HP Photosmart 7510 handles both documents and photographs equally well, and it has some extras that are worth paying for. The wireless connection, for a start. That means no more searching for lost cables, or balancing your laptop precariously because the cable is too short. There’s a touch sensitive LCD screen so you can view or cancel print jobs, or access some of HPs web apps at a single touch. And not only does it print, but it also scans, copies and works as an eFax machine too.
Marshall MS2 Micro Amp, €47
If you’re a bit of an electric guitar fan but don’t have the space for the full set up, the Marshall MS2 Micro Amp is just the thing. It’s a mini version of the classic Marshall amp, and comes with all the controls you’ll need, including tone and overdrive. It’s got a headphone jack, to avoid disturbing the neighbours, and it’s powered by either a single 9 volt battery or a mains adaptor, so you can take it on the move with you. And weighing in at under half a kilo, you might just be tempted.
