Nokia chief executive Stephen Elop may get €6.66 million for 2010, including delayed compensation, after he stepped in to turn around the world’s largest mobile phonemaker.

Mr Elop was paid €3.84 million and his compensation for the year will increase with future bonuses based on Nokia’s performance and pension adjustments, the company said in its filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Mr Elop started work at Nokia on September 21st after leaving Microsoft where he was in charge of business products.

Mr Elop was paid €280,303 in base salary and €440,137 in bonus, as well as €3.12 million in other compensation including lost income from the job he left at Microsoft and fees he had to pay the Redmond, Washington-based software maker when he departed. – (Bloomberg)
