AN Irish language version of the Money Go Round resource pack, issued over the past year by the Irish Bankers' Federation, will be launched next week. Some 23,000 students in over 220 primary schools will receive the pack which includes a video on the evolution, making and use of money, audio cassette, activity sheets to accompany the video/cassette, plastic coins, teachers note, a teacher referral poster and school book covers. The purpose of Money Go Round is to teach young children to understand about money, its value and sound management as well as its use in the financial system. The programme has cost the five banks in excess of £200,000.
