Changes are afoot at Trinity Commerce, the Internet services arm of Trinity Technology Group, in which Eircom took a £10 million (€12.7 million) majority stake last May. Mr Vincent Ryan, formerly managing director of Trinity Technology will now join Trinity Commerce as country manager for Ireland, with responsibility for Irish sales and operations.

Trinity Commerce chief executive officer, Mr Bill Donoghue is also understood to be taking a more hands on approach in the day-to-day operation of the business.

Mr Donoghue told The Irish Times that Trinity Commerce is planning to make a number of strategic announcements in January following approval of the company's five-year plan.
