RTE Online is hosting a special Internet event next Monday evening to allow users pose questions to the State's public service broadcaster. A panel comprised of presenters and representatives from the RTE executive board, including the director general, Mr Bob Collins, and director of radio, Ms Helen Shaw, will answer online questions from the public from 7 p.m.

A special website (www.rte.ie/connect) has been opened by RTE Online to explain the event and to allow visitors to submit their questions in advance of the online meeting. The initiative is the brainchild of RTE Radio Internet producer, Mr Paul Russell, using the technical expertise of Mr Declan Caulfield and Mr Luke McManus. Also joining the panel will be 2FM broadcaster, Mr Gerry Ryan, and the meeting will be chaired by RTE Radio 1 broadcaster, Mr Joe Duffy.
