The Revenue will now be continuing to accept disclosures under its life assurance products investigation up to 4pm today. The Underlying Tax (insurance products) Project offices at Clanwilliam Court, Lower Mount Street, Dublin, were due to be manned over the weekend.
Following requests from accountants and tax advisers acting as agents for persons wishing to make disclosures, the Revenue decided yesterday it would accept disclosures between 8am and 4pm today. The Revenue is expecting to receive more than €400 million over the coming weeks from persons who have made disclosures.
Revenue chairman Frank Daly said on Thursday that 10,000 people had indicated they might have issues relating to the products.
