Economist Dr Peter Bacon has been commissioned to prepare a report on the economic analysis of the Greater Drogheda area, taking in parts of Co Meath, by a partnership of public and private bodies interested in shaping the area's future.

His analysis will look at both the spatial and economic needs of the area and provide a 10-year plan.
