Former Minister for Finance and EU Commissioner, Ray MacSharry, has sold most of his shares in Ryanair, realising £67,650 in the process. Mr MacSharry sold 11,000 shares at 615p each on Tuesday and now holds just 1,820 Ryanair shares.
Mr MacSharry has been a director of the publicly-quoted Ryanair Holdings since August 1996 and currently has a consultancy agreement with the airline which pays him £50,000 a year plus expenses.
He is also a director of Bank of Ireland, Jefferson Smurfit Group, Green Property and is non-executive chairman of London City Airport, the airport owned by companies controlled by financier Dermot Desmond.
