Raidtec, a Cork firm which designs and manufactures data storage networking solutions, has raised $17 million in venture capital funding. International and domestic backers, including NIB Capital, Dresdner Kleinwort Capital and Barclay's ventures, took part in the funding, which will help the firm to build brand awareness, expand its sales and engineering teams and accelerate new products. The firm is recruiting in all departments. Raidtec employs some 110 people worldwide at centres in Cork and Atlanta, US.
