Powerscourt Investments has taken a 30 per cent stake in communications company Powerstation for an undisclosed sum.
Established in July 2000 by entrepreneur Mr Sean Melly, the Powerscourt fund focuses on investing and assisting early stage enabling technology companies, primarily in Ireland.
Powerstation, set up in 1997, employs 17 people in Dublin. It specialises in providing communications strategies together with multimedia and website development for companies, including WorldCom, Royal & SunAlliance, Bewleys, Champion Sports, Avoca Handweavers and Cashs.
