The High Court has struck out a petition for the winding up of a construction company of developer Thomas McFeely.
The Revenue Commissioners previously withdrew a petition for the winding up of Coalport Building Company Ltd, Holles Street, Dublin, after it was paid a debt of €140,000. The company’s directors are Thomas McFeely and his brother Noel.
The matter was before the court yesterday to see if any other parties claiming to be owed money by Coalport wished to take over the Revenue’s petition.
Lawyers for one of those parties, Theresa McGuinness, told Ms Justice Mary Laffoy that Ms McGuinness did not intend to take over the petition. Ms McGuinness, Brook Lane, Rush, Co Dublin, has claimed she has not received €350,000 from Coalport following her High Court action against them in 2009.
