A large recruitment advertisement last week in the Financial Times drew no punches. Right after the announcement that British online clothes retailer Boo.com had collapsed, Amsterdam-based Gorillapark.com made this biting pitch: "Learnt a lot at Boo? Out of a job? Come and join a winning team of professionals."
Of course, the Margin immediately wanted to know more about this self-described "pan-European business accelerator and idea generator for high-tech entrepreneurs". Unfortunately, though we tried and tried to reach it, its website was down continuously.
What a perfect match! ex-Boos can jump from a company whose Web pages were notoriously glitchy to a company whose website doesn't come up at all.
