Bord na M≤na has announced the appointment of Mr Kyran Hurley as director of corporate development. Mr Hurley was previously chief executive of Bord na M≤na Fuels Ltd.

Mr Tom McCabe has been made managing director and vice-president of Boston Scientific Ireland. Mr McCabe joined the company in 1998 as managing director of its Cork facility.

Barnardos has named Ms Suzanne Connolly as director of children's services, with responsibility for all Barnardos programmes for children and families.

Irish Forestry Services has appointed Mr Trevor McHugh as managing director. Mr McHugh has been operations director of the company for the past three years.

Dr Eileen Fitzpatrick has been elected chairwoman of the Irish Association of Investment Managers. Dr Fitzpatrick is managing director and chief investment officer of AIB investment managers.

Deloitte & Touche has expanded its e-business team with the appointments of Mr Ronan Long, Mr Jason Wimmer, Mr Ronan Kennedy and Mr Finian McKeon to the e-technology services group.

Mr Bobby Collins has joined Multiprint Labels as general manager, as the company looks to expand on the back of £5 million in capital investment.

New Ireland has appointed Mr Denis Kelleher as broker sales manager, with responsibility for developing relations with brokers outside Dublin. Mr Kelleher, who has been with the firm for five years, will be based in Cork.

Mr Bernard Byrne is joining the board of the ESB. Mr Byrne is group finance director of IWP International but has previously worked with the ESB.

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland has appointed Ms Colleen Quinn as deputy chief executive. Ms Quinn joined the institute, the second-largest Irish accountancy body, in 1995.

Version1 software has made Mr Kieran Carrick sales manager, responsible for account management and business development.

Lombard and Ulster, the asset finance arm of the Royal Bank of Scotland, has appointed Mr Alex Brett as its new head. Mr Brett has been with Lombard and Ulster for 11 years, the past four as sales director.

Beamish & Crawford has added Mr John O'Callaghan and Mr Eamonn O'Sullivan to the board of the company. Mr O'Callaghan will be marketing director and Mr O'Sullivan customer services director.

E-business architects Labyrinth has named Mr Ian Hasslacher e-business development manager, following his move from Eircom where he worked in the multimedia department. Mr Rory McCann becomes product development manager with Labyrinth, with responsibility for managing the company's products from development through to release, alongside his involvement in maintaining and developing new business.

Mr James Prasad has been named vice-president of Red Hat's European, Middle Eastern and African division.

Garras Bank-Naspa Dublin has put in place joint managing directors - Mr Neil Ryan and Ms Elizabeth McCormack - to replace Mr Matti Hyyrynen, who has moved to the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.
