Goodbody Stockbrokers has appointed Ms Kathy Morgan to the position of marketing manager. Ms Morgan has been with the firm since 1998.

Mr Barry McGrane has been named finance director of United Drug. He had been general manager finance and company secretary at the company, which he joined in 1993.

The Marketing Society has appointed Mr Gerard O'Neill as chairman and Mr Maurice Cullen as vice-chairman. Mr O'Neill is managing director of Amβrach Consulting, while Mr Cullen is commercial manager with Bord Gβis.

The Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed has named Ms Noeleen Hartigan to the post of welfare to work co-ordinator. Ms Hartigan was previously press officer with the organisation.

Mr Bernard Mackessy has been appointed head of training at the Irish Aviation Authority's new training centre in Shannon, having been an instructor at the authority's training centre since 1997.

Protim Abrasives has made a number of appointments. Mr Danny Holly becomes Munster area manager in the bathroom division. The Munster hardware division will be headed by Mr Pat Walsh. Offaly senior football captain Mr Colm Quinn has been named west of Ireland area manager in the bathroom division.

Another GAA figure, Mr Eddie McCormack, who plays with the Kildare senior footballers, becomes sales executive in hardware for south Dublin and south Leinster. Mr Adrian Flynn will be sales executive for the balance of Dublin and Leinster. Ms Vivienne Barnes become sales executive for the DIY division.

Mr David Murray has joined Kadius Systems as chief executive. Mr Murray was previously chief executive of Bewans for Business, an e-commerce marketplace and portal start-up.

Version I Software has appointed Mr Kieran Carrick sales manager. Mr Carrick moves to the company from Airtel ATN, where he was vice-president for sales and marketing.

Recruitment company Premier Recruitment has appointed Ms Audrey Kelly as a specialist accountancy and finance consultant. Ms Kelly previously worked with Dell Computer and as business and finance manager with Golden Vale.

Ms Nikki Gordon has joined PR @ The Helme as account director. She moves from Compaq Computer, where she was communications manager.

Colt Telecom has appointed Mr Mark Crockett as business development manager and Mr James O'Friel as senior manager (external operations).

B&Q Ireland has named Mr Mark Power as store general manager for its first warehouse store in the Republic. The store in Liffey Valley retail park is scheduled to open next spring.
