Mr Ken Kilkenny has been elected president of An Oige, the youth hostel association of the Republic. Prior to his election, he was honorary treasury.
Mr Colm Reilly has been appointed chief executive at the Irish Internet Association. He joins from DMR Consulting, where he managed the Scandinavian operation from Dublin. Irish-owned software company Openet Telecom has expanded its international operations with the appointment of Mr Roger Davis as vice-president, worldwide marketing. Mr Davis was formerly chief operating officer of Tracewell Systems.
Lotus Development, part of IBM, has appointed Ms Elaine Stephen as director of international product development.

Delphi Technologies has hired Mr Fin O'Driscoll as chief executive. Before joining Delphi, Mr O'Driscoll worked as chief operating officer for Internet security company Entropy.
The Irish Energy Centre has named Mr Tom Halpin as its new head of consumer awareness.
