Mr Kieran McGowan, former chief executive of the IDA, has been appointed to the board of directors of Accelerated Encryption Processing Limited, a European company specialising in security for e-commerce.

Mr Willie O'Byrne has been appointed managing director of Irish-based independent charter airline, TransAer, with the airline's current managing director, Mr P.J. McGoldrick, continuing as chairman of the airline and chief executive of the holding company.
