The recruitment division of Amdahl Resources, ARI Recruitment, has opened a new office in Dublin to provide IT recruitment services.
ARI Recruitment will recruit both contract and permanent staff ranging from programmers to analysts, senior managers and executives. Ms Marie Carroll has been appointed as branch manager for the new Dublin office, which is ARI's only office in the Republic so far.
Ms Carroll has spent more than 10 years in the recruitment industry, including periods with CSR and Marlborough.
Navan Resources has appointed new finance and exploration directors as part of a reorganisation of its senior management.
Mr Christopher Neal becomes executive director for finance and corporate development, while Mr Colin Andrew takes up the post of executive director for exploration.
Mr Neal joined Navan two years ago as director of operations in Spain. Mr Andrew was previously Navan's director in Bulgaria where he integrated the Chelopech mine into Navan's operations.
Mr Simon Olsen who joined the company last November, has been appointed general manager for finance. Mr Colin Belshaw is the new general manager of Navan's operations in Bulgaria.
Ms Orla Kinsella has joined Bristol Myers as trade marketing manager, with responsibility for trade and consumer marketing of Clairol's portfolio haircare products. Ms Kinsella previously worked with Cow & Gate and more recently with Milupa as product manager.
The Guardian group, which consists of Guardian Insurance and Guardian Life has appointed Ms Geraldine Meehan as company secretary, Mr Philip McKeever as director of broker business and Mr Padraic Mills as director of claims.
The Galway-based travel, leisure and property holding company, Coen Group, has appointed Mr Terry Stewart as chairman of the group.
The group consists of the travel agency Aran Travel, the four-star luxury Granary Suites apartments and various commercial properties.
Mr Stewart has spent 20 years with the European Commission in the area of social transport and communications, including a period as director of the commission's office in the Republic.
Ms Suzanne Bosscher is to head up advertising and promotions with Statoil. She joins from PJ Carroll where she was marketing manager for group brands and was previously with C & C and Avonmore.
The Chartered Institute of Building has announced that Mr Gerry Wynne will be its chairman for the coming year.
Mr Paddy Marron is to retire as managing director of Nestle Ireland next May, although he will remain on as a company director. Mr Eddie Humphreys, who is transferring from Nestle's British operations, will succeed him.
Ms Sandra Moran is the new marketing manager of the Riverside Park Hotel, in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.
