Mr Donal Geaney, chief executive and chairman of Elan Corporation, has been appointed by the Government as chairman and a director of the Irish Aviation Authority. Mr Geaney's appointment is for four years and he replaces the former chief executive of National Irish Bank, Mr Jim Lacey, who resigned in March.
The Belfast Hilton Hotel has appointed Ms Catherine William- son as its human resources manager. The hotel is due to open in September and Ms Williamson will head its recruitment and training programme.
Ms Penny Wilson has been appointed director of sales.
ICC Bank has named Mr Tim Meehan the new director of its asset finance division. Mr Meehan will be responsible for developing the bank's leasing, hire-purchase and contract-hire portfolio.
Mr Conor Scott has been appointed senior marketing executive for ICC Bank's southern division. Mr James Fox has been appointed senior marketing executive in the banks asset finance division.
Bull Ireland has appointed Mr Roddie Aherne to the post of general manager for managed services in Ireland and Mr Mick Fitzpatrick as the general manager of PC and LAN Systems. They are joined by Mr Ron Maher who is the new business manager for infrastructure and desktop services.
IBI Corporate Finance has named Mr Jeff Wylie as its associate director in Belfast, with responsibility for further developing IBI's existing business in the Northern Ireland.
The Automobile Association has appointed Mr John J. Farrell as its business development manager. Mr Farrell was previously employed with Eircell as sales promotions and programmes manager and was responsible for its strategic alliance with AA. The chief executive of the newly established conference and event management company, Corporate Management International (CMI), is Ms Deirdre Sheils. Mr David Pierce has been appointed President of the Leinster Society of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Mr Pierce is head of business development (inward investment) for Ulster Bank.
Two new directors have been appointed to the board of French & Associates, the credit management company. Mr Chris Jenkins, who joined the company in 1992, now has special responsibility for operations, while Mr Jim Boland is taking up the post of the director of IT. Isuzu Japan, the truck company, has named Ms Wendy Gregan as head of its Northern Ireland division.
