TaxCheck assists PAYE employees by allowing them to experiment online with various mixes of car benefits, pay raises and medical benefits. So, before you ask the boss for a raise, it may be profitable to determine the combination of pay package resulting in the best take-home benefits.

If the figures on your payslip are baffling, TaxCheck also has an online payslip checker to help sort them out. PAYE employees may use the service to establish their appropriate tax-free allowance and to calculate and print out the exact sum which should appear on their monthly/ weekly payslip. The service, at www.tinet.ie, is designed to provide a simple tax assessment package for employees.

Employees may check their yearly TFA Revenue form which outlines tax free allowances for the coming year against TaxCheck. If an error is found, the programme can print out a TFA1 correction form for submission to the tax office.
